I'm ready to unload my VW Rabbit right now to get this car. Even though I'm not crazy about the color they chose for the hatch, I'm sold. So far, I like everything I've seen about '12 Focus.

I was thinking late '11 for this car, but what I've read says early '11, so only a year from now!!!

Sleek front end design, nice interior and.... the hatch is back! Still bugs me that there is no ZX3 available, but still!

Posted some of these already, but throwing them out there for this thread:
-5 bolt lug pattern
-Rear discs
-6speed transmission
-Both 5 door and sedan styling are good

Now we need release of pricing and full trim lineup!

Love the interior, and well pretty much everything. Exterior is sooo much sportier and nicer than before. Tail lights are the only thing im getting use to but I remember the time when I didn't like the MK1 hatch too much.

If they make an AWD option available with the ecoboost, I'll probably sell everything I have to get one :P

Looks good...Interior is alot nicer than previous focus models. I also like the outside styling, but they should have made a 3-door hatch, too.

BTW...The official Ford site, says that the car in the pictures is the 2012 Focus...not the 2011. So someone might want to change the front page of FF.com! :)

I wonder how well the "hidden fuel door" is going work out, being beneath the right passenger taillight. On the hatch, that is.

I might have missed something here, correct me if I'm wrong...

The global powertrain lineup for the new Focus will include a range of state-of-the-art Ford EcoBoost™ four-cylinder turbocharged direct injection (DI) engines – including the 1.6-liter unit in Europe and a choice of advanced and improved Duratorq TDCi common-rail diesel engines, all of which offer reductions in fuel consumption of between 10 and 20 percent compared to the outgoing models.

For the NAIAS preview, Ford is showing a completely new 2.0-liter gasoline engine for the North American market that features DI and Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) for enhanced performance and fuel efficiency. The new 2.0-liter DI Ti-VCT engine is up to 20 horsepower more powerful than the current 2.0 Duratec I-4 unit while contributing to projected fuel economy gains of more than 10 percent.

So one of the cars on the platform at NAIAS IS TURBO?

Correct, the car will come out in early 2011 as the 2012 Focus.
