Stock overhead map light bulbs

So I have been looking around everywhere and I cannot for the life of me identify what bulbs are in the stock overhead map lights. I'll take a picture, but they have no markings that indicate what they are, and ALL books say the same exact bulb, a flat two wire bulb, not a cylinder like the on in the picture.

Not ALL books, you simply haven't looked at the right ones. All bulb catalogs will list that very common bulb type. Look harder. BTDT. The number may even be in the stamped in code on the metal base.

I found it. I was searching in the wrong year. The '06 MK I has BA9s and I couldn't find that in the MK II

There you go. That basic bulb base and glass have been used since the '60s and a common one.
