If you do go through with this wait for the iPad 3. I know someone who knows the guys at apple they say its gonna blow the first two away! And for the install kit I think if you look on youtube some guys at an auto shop did it with a scoshe kit and it came out very nice!
Goose, it seems as though you might be the only one with the initiative to do so. If you want, you can start a parts thread and document this to the end, if you want. I have no want to do this as I am fairly happy with my stock setup. There are a ton of resources that have done major upgrades to their head units and dashes. It is just a matter of finding all of them.
I have actually considered doing it but I might have to prioritize lol. I have just finished putting a Di-noc vinyl on my 2010 dash and pretty much not bored of how it looks yet (Its pretty much stock radio) I might have to buy my rims and springs before I start the iPad project plus child support isn't helping either lol. Need to buy the little ones gifts and visit them in Parkersburg next month.
I was actually thinking of maybe placing a pioneer player and sacrificing the change holder area below the cigarette lighter area and mount the ipad where the stock player is at or you could go crazy and mount it above you next to the night light so everyone can enjoy a nice youtube video of your choice plus you can feel like you're piloting a plane
Good idea! That reminds me I've hot to get to bottom of the 12v output problem doesn't work but isn't the fuse ... Any idea guys ...?
Would love to see the finished article good luck
I am a big fan of sound man and you can check him out in YouTube and they even have a website where pretty much you can purchase everything you will need to wire your iPad on your dash.
