So what do I do now? (Grill Badge Delete)

After about a week of trial and error I completed the badge delete on my 09 ses. I will post pictures and a how to in the next few days. Some other how to's don't use bondo but I did among other things so pick whichever works.

I took apart the grill/headlight assembly tonight to meguires the lights, and place my new turn signal bulbs. I started thinking about how slick another forum members grill looked with a badge delete. I asked where it was from and member said he made so I thought I would try it also and now I'm at a troubling part. How do I remove the base of the part that the emblem was attached to (how do I get rid of the oval in between the two grill lines?) plus it is just the chrome part of the grill, not the plastic area with the mesh. Please help or share different ideas. 2009 ses sedan 5 speed

I plasti dipped my grill all black, I like it and looks nice to me, you can still see the "ford" outline if you look close enough, I may peel it and leave the emblem exposed one day for fun, but I can post a pic if you want. They also make a clear coat for plasti dip now so it would be shiny instead of a matte finish. I only know how to remove the grille not the emblem, but just a thought. Best part is you can peel it off if you don't like the look.

Think they were just cut out, maybe some body work to clean up the look.

That's why I wondered how it would work out with a chromed one.

I say dip it for fun, I mean with mine Sailor it was originally chrome and still is, I wanted the look from the SES I think it is? The model with the black grille. Like I said on mine you just see the oval.

Lol people that hate it are like "OH MY GOD PLASTI DIP IS NOT A MOD"

And I believe that is how it was done also but I don't want to shatter the (black) chrome area trying to remove a darn oval! I can get basically any part I need from work if I need to but I don't want to ruin a perfectly good part
