Passenger Door Mirror
After a little incident I had backing into my garage my passenger door mirror was slightly damaged. The mirror and the motor that moves it is undamaged, but the housing is a bit wopperJod.
As you may be able to see in the above image there is a gap between the housing and the car. What I want to know is: does anyone know how to get the black piece of trim off so that I may check to see if any connections to the mirror are broken, and any ideas you may have to get the housing to adhere to the car and at least look undamaged cosmetically.
for the interior black triangular trim piece just grip and rip. you will see a couple of nuts and your pig tail. now the connector for the pig tail might be a little lower behind the door panel i cannot remember. most likely the studs/bolts were pulled from the plastic mirror base. you may be able to press/glue them back in. its worth a shot
