Spoiler or no spoiler?

Right now my 08 focus is spoiler less I have a stock spoiler that I could put on the car (given to me) but I am going to have to drill holes in the trunk lid. I guess the question is should I leave it be or mount the spoiler?

i have the stock spoiler so i would say mount it. but ultimately what do you think about it? since you are the one looking at it and presumably drilling for it:) the good thing about it is it isn't too obtrusive or ricey so that could factor in it:)

I think it makes the rear end look more distinguished on the Mk2s. But it doesn't necessarily hurt the car's appearance with or without. All about perception

I am on the fence I would like a spoiler but I would like one a little more subtle. One like my grand national or the 03 cobra. More likes lip spoiler than a whole spoiler. But I could easily mount this one without spending the money.

I had a low spoiler on my '05 ST, and found that it impaired my rearward vision, not as much the SAP spoiler on the ST that I test drove, but enough to be annoying. I took mine off, and water did get into the inside of the trunk lid and it started to rust from the inside, at the very bottom of the lid. So, if you do install the spoiler which, IIRC on the Mk II, is quite low and subtle, be sure you seal the holes that you drill through the trunk lid. I would make a gasket out of some soft, impermeable material, between the spoiler base and the trunk lid. Let us know, and see what you decide.

3DCarbon Kit^
I'm on the fence about a spoiler as well. If I could grab one for $20, I'd have one, but I don't know if I like it enough for it to be $100 spent.
