Does anyone know the license plate screws size

I know it's a silly question but I'm wondering what is the correct size for the screws/bolts that hold the license plate

I am looking for this too. I would like to replace metal ones with nylon ones that don't rust. Should the holes in a NA/Mk2 be threaded? I think the dealer (non-Ford) where I got mine just jammed whatever in there :-(. The screws used are rather course threaded, like a sheet metal screw.

Mine were 1/4 - 20 x 1/2. That's for the front. I see no reason why the rear would be different.
