Adding a Receiver & Warranty?

I'm looking at getting a receiver for my Focus in order to put a bike rack on. I know the car isn't rated to tow, and I don't plan on towing with it (I have a Jeep that can tow 5000 pounds if needed ...).

My concern is - will I lose my warranty on the powertrane if I affix a receiver to the car?

I know there are trunk mounted ones, but those scratch the paint and I already have a receiver mount carrier.

Best fielded to your local dealer. But imho no it will not void a warranty. They would have to prove it was the cause to the failure. Im not sure what the trans designation is but in the case of a 4r70w the 4 is the # of gears, r is the direction of the output -rear, 70 represents the tow rating -gross weight of the loaded car plus an extra 70%, and w is for wide gear spacing most trans say e for electronic control.
