from what i have heard by reading tons of posts on here if you plan on getting a header then the fswerks stealth exhaust from fswerks.com. Not sure if your familiar with the focus at all if not the main places we get stuff from is fswerks.com they have alot of parts for our cars. and there is a buy sell trade thread in forums section where you can buy stuff. welcome to focus fanatics buddy

Basic Bolt ons: Exhaust Headers/Flex Pipes
Basic Bolt-ons: Intakes and Induction
Basic Bolt Ons: Cat back exhaust systems

and this one will probably be the most useful

fswerks.com is were u wana get your exhaust, cai, header, etc.

A lot of people run the combination of stealth exhaust and 4-1 header

I myself I'm just running race exhaust without the 4-1 header but when I get my header I might also put a resonator on it to make the exhaust stealth

I've got an FSwerks cat-back system (2.5 i think, it was on there when I bought it). Its got a nice burble to it (not that generic fart can sound. lol) and a nice little pop when hard on it between gears. I'm impressed with it..

I'm one of the few running a TruBendz flex back with a Magnaflow. People are always giving me props for how good it sounds. Have fun and good luck.

I was having a terrible time deciding on exhaust, checking out youtube videos and of course all the info on this site. In the end could not make a decision and did not want to spend a "lot" of money on an exhaust system that I would not be happy with. I had a local shop remove the factory muffler and drove the car for a few weeks. The sound was not terrible, but the drone at highway speed was too much for me. I went back and had them install a 14 inch glass pack where the muffler used to be and I love it. Very much noticeably loader than stock, but mellow/deep tone that does not give me a headache at 70 mph. Had I went with the glass pack to begin with I would only have about $60 invested. Laugh it you want, but I like it!

Just go with the fswerks man its made specifically for the focus and the race exhaust by itself sounds great. not too loud not to quiet just perfect and it has a completely different tone to the car. All of my friends always says my exhaust sounds the best, maybe not the loudest but the best sounding exhaust non-ricey.
