08-11 Projector Film Peeling Poll

Taking a poll..who has The 08-11 CCFL Projectors with protective film peeling and is using HID? Please also comment on who you are when you take the poll and also when this started to happen/not happen and how long you have had the headights.

I have a theory the HID is causing the peeling....maybe...

I am hesitant too. But it seems that only individuals with HID are having a problem. So if I stick with halogen and put some uv protectant and stuff on them maybe...hmm. lol

Mine peeled with using HIDs. I just took the rest of the coating off and put LaminX on them.

Mine peeled and I wasn't using HID's. They are just cheap in my opinion. I ended up throwing mine out(they looked really bad) and buying the oem black headlights.

Lol you are not going to hurt them. DO you know how strong that clear substance for the lens is?

And as for heat, halogen 35w bulbs actually emit more heat than 35w hids do. I have read tons of articles that proved it was a myth!
