Time to buy new HIDs

I purchased a set of bi-xenon 5000k kensun brand HID kit off of amazon.com...worked for about a year then had many many problems with one light not turning on so I just pulled the whole kit out and put my stock bulbs back in. Also had 3000k Kensun HID kit in the fog lights. Again after about a year the HID kit started having problems; one bulb blew up in the fog light and smelled like super strong farts, it was gross. So to get to the root of my post I am wondering what is a quality HID kit for a good price, I'm looking about $75 or under on the bi-xenons and about the same for the fogs. Lemme get some feedback before I make the purchase this weekend. Thanks in advance!

Headlights: H13-high/low (bi-xenon)
Fog lights: H11

+1 for DDMTuning. The bulbs and ballasts (slim ballasts) I bought from DDM has lasted since 09'. Only problem i has was the relay harness gave out from excessive moisture.

Morimoto :)

Ill never buy anything else.

Its more expensive but you get what you pay for. Ive personally installed a ton of different setups and I like the Morimotos the best. Wayyy better than the DDM kits I've installed.

What's better about the morimoto kit compared to DDM? better bulbs? better output? I wish I would've known about them before i got my DDM kit because I would much rather have gotten 4300k.

How did you diagnose that problem? I find the harness from DDM to be of sub-par quality. I had to electrical tape all the unsleeved and poorly sleeved leads. And they used crappy vinyl instead of automotive sleeving.

I have several of the ddm kits. single beam in the head and fogs on my 09, hi/low in my bronco. and low in an escape we had. only issue i had was i shorted a ballast on mine doing some weird electrical work. i emailed them about the warranty and in just over a week i had the bad one sent back and a new replacement back in my car. very impressed with them. seems like a good company with an affordable product with lifetime warranty.

All the above. Warm up time is much faster too. I put DDMs on my mothers car and they are no where near as good as my morimotos. Ive also installed DDMs on a tohoe and the igniter stopped working. Had a lot of trouble getting in touch with customer service to get a replacement.

I'm thinking about just doing a projector retrofit with the Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) kit. Not sure how difficult this is but if someone has a link to a walk-through anywhere that's be cool. Any feedback on this kit would be cool too!
