Euro Fan recently picked up a 2010 "S"

Hey all. I'm a N00b to the forum and the Focus ownership world. I'm a big European car fan, who just came out of a base model 1998 VW Jetta with minor mods (OEM+, if you follow the scene). I was turning wrenches at a loacal Ford dealer for 5+ years, until February of this year, when I got moved to our Subaru dealer to pick up some slack. This past December, as a Christmas gift to myself, I picked up, and am currently daily driving, a 2010 "S" with ABS, power locks, traction control, the wretchid interior, 15" steel wheels, aux in port, 5 speed manual transmission and manual windows (FTW!!). She came through my service bay as a Certified Pre Owned vehicle with 26,9xx on the clock. I inquired with our sales department and aquired my beautiful, white sedan within a few days.

I don't know how anyone else feels about their modifications, but, I have a fairly distinct idea of what I'd like her to become over the next few years. My vision has a decidedly European feel and is heavily inspired by my love of VWs and Audis and their tuning scene. I'm currently searching for a set of wheels (16's to replace my factory 15's) and some exterior mods, as I can't stand all the chrome. Then, I plan on adjusting her stance and handling, with coilovers, strut tower braces, and other goodies to tighten up the chassis, for more fun in the twisties. Finally, once my warranty is up, I want to add some more power. I'm not looking to build a boy racer with a body kit and a spoiler (read "Civic") or a slammed on the gound, barely drivable, show car. I simpley want an economical (last tank got me 36.4mpg), reliable, fun to drive vehicle.

I'm new to the Ford tuning world and dont really have any idea as to where to search for parts so if anyone has suggestions as to where to find the parts ive mentioned above, or a way to get rid of all that tacky chrome, suggestions are always welcome. Thanks.

First welcome to FF

I started almost the same way but I ended up slightly different.

First let's start off with exterior. I myself hate all the chrome these cars come with. I replaced my grille black to match my car. Few use plasti-dip and others use spray paint. I also used tfb designs for my black/red ford emblems. For headlights a lot of people go with either eagle eyes projectors(eBay) or SES/coupe headlights(black chrome). I myself went with SES lamps with morimoto projectors retrofitted. Trunk almost every 2g owner debadge their trunks. For a more euro look on the exterior, 3D carbon has a lip kit to give our plain looking body a better aggressive look.

Wheels suspension. We use a 4x108 bolt pattern and I've seen people use offsets as low as +28 for a perfect stance. Suspension parts we all get is either from massive, CFM, FSWERKS, Dominic's custom parts , and few others. DGR, H&R, eibach, and FRPP are common to see on this forums.

Performance wise , look up central Florida motorsports for a lot of parts for our cars. fswerks.com also sell a lot of parts for our car.

I hope this helps. Once again welcome
