Rev limiter

Has anyone gotten rid of the rev limit when you're in neutral or park?

I do believe it's there to protect the trans. I don't know first hand as I have a manual and can rev all the way to 7200 redline. Try a good tune

I could be wrong but here are my thoughts. I don't think the rev limiter is there to protect the transmission when it is in nuetral or in park, I think it is there to protect the engine. When you're in nuetral or park the transmission isn't engaged so it wouldn't really matter.

Anyone else?

and to answer the original question, No i have not removed my rev limiter.... I can haZ manuelZ

If you have a sct xcal 3 on the handheld it gives you the option to set the rev limiter for nuetral, park, and for each gear with your tune

RPMS that high on our stock motor can very easy bend rods or piston heads.
