How to: Replacing inverters in ccfl eagle eye projectors (08-11)

This is a fairly simple install and will not only help fix bunk inverters but made my halos slightly brighter!

PROBLEM:
Let me start off by saying the reason i had to replace my inverters was because my pass side halo kept turning off after a few min of run time...tried many things to fix but came to the conclusion with help from fellow fanatics that my inverter was probably junk.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
New inverters - I got mine from HERE (thanks PSUrivie) (see image below)
Wire cutter
Needle nose pliers/wire strippers
Butt wire connectors - autozone has them (see image below)

INSTALL:
Start by removing lights from car. Locate the inverter. (and detach from housing if attached with sticky pad)

Cut the inverters off at the middle of the wire.

Cut the end connectors off the new inverters. compare to the new inverter like the picture, take note that the new inverter is a dual output but we will only be using one output. (on a side note, i marked the one wire on the side that will connect to the "pinkish colored" wire that goes back into the headlight housing.)

Strip the wires and attach the butt connector ends. Crimp tightly to secure.

Attach other ends to wires coming out of headlight housing. You can also wrap connections with electrical tape if your worried about moisture as I did but didn't take a picture.

Reattach headlight to car and test before completely bolting in place. Repeat with other headlight housing.

Your halos will now work and be slightly brighter than before. PM me if you have any questions.

SWEEEETTT!!!! One more thing guys, if you are running the relay harness, the relay sucks. My HIDs wouldn't turn on. I pulled the relay and pulled the cover off. It was full of condensation and pretty much rusted together. You need a 40A relay, not a 30A that Advanced, Auto Zone, etc sells. Go to Radio Shack and look in their parts drawers, you'll find the relay you need there. Just an FYI.
