idea!

everyone always tries to make their focus go as fast as possible.
has anyone ever tried to push the fuel efficiency limits? if i could get the fuel efficiency of a Prius, but still have a Focus, that would be dope.

remove all seats spare tire jack all non essential items and push it around!!! lol jk. removing weight finding a perfect shift points avoid idling and a lot less city driving is a good start. mine sucks my drive to work is like 3 miles with 4 stop signs so my choke is still on when i get to work/home

15" lightweight aluminum wheels, low rolling resistance tires, a drop kit, aero body mods and removing all unneeded weight. That would be me starting point.

well just stock i have gotten up to 45 mpg as per the gauge on the dash.

but for extreme millage you will need to lose some weight ..the car that is.
make sure the wheel bearings are greased with as light as possible grease, and set correct (preload).
tires that provide the least rolling resistance. NO air, use nitrogen.
keep the speed down. (not 55) play around to find the best mph for your best mpg.

make the body have less drag.
and the whole motor, trani, drive line etc. do with less resistance.

here is your start...

and the 45 mpg is not just freeway. i live in the hills. so back roads stop and go etc.
GOOD LUCK.

build an hho generator and run your car partly on hydrogen. that will improve gas mileage and wont cost you a penny all it costs is to make the generator:) then fill it with water and electrolytes and you got yourself some hydrogen fuel additive:) look it up on youtube you'll be amazed..

the thought just intrigued me.
i could also do E3 spark plugs, new air filter, etc.
right now, i get 22.3 mpg with mostly city driving. it's not much better than my old car, so it kinda defeats the purpose of the upgrade, considering i bought it so i WOULDN'T have a gas guzzler

Like this?!? Actually, you'd need to be REAL strong with your math to work out the fuel injection, and pulse width numbers against the ratio of hydrogen... it'd be unbelievably efficient though!
