Bigger battery

So I have an Optima red top and I want to put it in my car. The battery measured 1"x.5" bigger than the stock battery. Ive seen pics of them in the 08-11s so how do you get them to fit??

sadly all newer cars need to have two batteries in them as all this electronic trash uses way too much juice.

best bet is to install one larger or (best) two (stock sized) in the trunk. this will replace the stock battery as the under hood will be deleted.
use welding cable (better than batt cable). and clamp it down and protect a lot as the welding cable is very soft rubber and chafes/cuts very easily. use a larger sized wire from the alt. use a sealed box mounted in the rear. vented down out the bottom of the car.

remember to ground to the body and to the frame. two higher quality grounding straps. then a third between were these two mount.
can never have to much ground. and redo the motor to frame/body ground.

I think you have to buy an adapter to bolt it down. What group size is your Optima? our cars use a Group 35 size for red top and D35 for yellow.

I have a yellow top D35 in place of the stock under hood battery. Fits just fine.

That's exactly what I want to run! But sadly the $230+ price means I'll put a mostly stock one in again. Your group 34/78 gonna take some fan work to make it fit.
