Seat belt chime

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting a harness bar and a harness in my 09. I'm going to keep the stock belts also. Has anyone turned off there seat belt chime in their 08+??

http://www.focushacks.com/?modid=38&...nder%20Disable

I found this, but I'm not sure if it will work in our year. Just curious to know if anyone has done this yet. I would like to have it disabled when wearing my harness.

the procedure for the 08-11 is actually easier than the older ones. do you have your owners manual? if so it is actually listed in there. look up seat belt chime I believe. here's a link to the pdf for it, page 96.

you do have to be seated in the drivers seat to do the procedure. if you want to also do the pass seat you will need two people, one in each seat.

Your Manual tells ya how to do it, turn the ignition on, wait till the light stops blinking (one minute), then click and un click it 9? times, then it will blink again, then one more time and that is it.

That's the first thing I did to mine the day I got it home. Just follow your owners manual.

Just got around to doing this, thank god. I kinda like it that the pass side is separate as I still want my passengers to be reminded to buckle up.
