Replacement Part for Eagle Eyes Turn Signal Socket? (56k warning)

Last December I bought a set of Eagle Eyes Halo/Projector headlights for my 2011 SE.

When I installed them, I noticed that there was a slight connection issue with the right turn signal. Sometimes the turn signal worked, sometimes it didn't. The parking light filament always worked, but the turn signal filament was a sometimes kind of thing. At first it only worked when it was warm. Then I wiggled the turn signal socket, and then it only worked when it was cold. I've played with the connections more, and now it only works when it's between 60-70 degrees with low humidity.

I've had it with the connection problem. I can't figure out exactly where the problem is even after countless hours of moving things around and testing, so I want to replace the socket. Now here's the tricky part.

It's not the same turn signal socket as stock. I would know since I tried replacing the Eagle Eyes socket with the stock socket, but then the socket wouldn't screw into the headlight assembly.

Here is a picture of what the Eagle Eyes socket looks like (part number EE-FR391 A1 2):

Here is a picture of the stock socket (screw-style colored in due to poor picture quality):

The socket screw-style looks very similar to the ford sockets that I found on this site: http://www.theautopartsshop.com/Sear...-lamp-socket+1

Does anyone have a clue if I could theoretically substitute a random ford turn signal socket for my Eagle Eyes one, assuming they're the same size? Would I fry my wires by changing over without knowing appropriate fitment/voltages?

I'm really lost as to how to fix this, and I don't know ANYTHING about wiring/electrical. I love these headlights and I want them to work!

Note that I've tried swapping bulbs, swapping sockets, and buying completely new bulbs. It's definitely the socket.

Is there any way to swap with the one from the other side, just to varify that it is the socket? I've worked on things before that seemed like they HAD to be the one pice left, just to replace it and still have the original problem. If it is the socket, the problem will move to the other side, just to confirm what you suspect. Thought it might be worth a try.

Yes, I've tried swapping sides, and it's just the socket.

You might get some better help in the new 08-11 Body and Lighting Forum. There are a few companies that make replacement sockets. I thought I saw some on "ledlight.com" or one of those places. Doorman Inc makes nearly everything, but every time I find a place that sells all Doorman stuff- I forget to book mark it.

YES! IT FITS! IT WORKS (with a 3157 NA bulb)!

My 7 months of problems with my directional are finally over. It was definitely the socket. I can finally pass inspection without re-installing the stock headlights. You have NO idea how happy this makes me.
