Smile 08+ painted fog-light bezels ... post your pics :)

Hi guys and gals

I'm looking into painting the fog-light bezels before installing the kit, but the chrome surrounds are not removable without the plastic "welds" on the back having to be broken off, so I was thinking of painting the chrome surrounds the same color as the bezels ... matching red

Anybody do this before ?

Any pics of it already done ?

Thanks everybody ...

The bezel in question (stock) :

I just did that over the weekend, and i think it looks awesome and it was easy. Spray them with a paint adhesive before you try to paint. It will help keep the paint from flaking off if it gets chipped. You can get it at auto zone and many other places.

I'm sorry, but when I saw that picture from 20 feet back, I nearly died laughing.

My mind immediately went to the extreme. I likened it to someone asking people to post a picture of their house, and then someone quickly responding with a:

Again, sorry, I just had to share.

Theyre making fun of your picture lol.
He used the example of "Can I see a pic of your house?" "yea sure here you go *shows picture of earth*"
Funny stuff.

But yea paint adhesive and then color of choice

How easy does it look to do?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. It is easy as hell. All that stuff pops off from the back of your bumper. If you dont care about painting the chrome then you dont even have to tape off anything.

Well, I popped off the chrome surrounds and started painting the black bezels last night. 3 coats of Dupli-Color adhesion promoter/clear primer, then started with the red ... I have 2 light coats on there so far ... I have a run I have to deal with ... any ideas there ? just wet sand?

Still not sure if I'm gonna paint the chrome surrounds or leave them chrome ... I may paint them flat-black or just go with matching red (the most likely choice)
