The Ground Effects Bumper and side skirt kit

i was wanting to purchase the ground effect kit for my 2010 ford focus se sedan and i am scared of how low the bumper will be to the ground because i have a nice big curd to get in my drive way and i dont wanna rip it off when i am pulling in or pulling out and was wondering how much clearance the kit gives me from the ground to the bumper before i drop 500 dollars on it and destroy it. any help would be awesome. here is a link to the kit i am talking about...

So you know, that kit is just a lip kit, not a full replacement bumper. It shouldn't be too low that you'll need to worry too much about hitting curbs and running it over. Also, check out our Racer kit for the 08-11 sedans for something a little different.

This may help you. Measure from the front of the tire to the lowest, farthest (from tire) 'point' on your lower chin (horizontal measurement). (on my 07, that is 17"). Measure from the 'point' to the ground (vertical measurement). At 17" (mine) the lowest allowed 'point' is 5" (as my driveway has a 10degree slope). For every 1" change in the horizontal measurement, change 1/4" the vertical measurement. Use these as a general guideline to help you triangulate your required clearance. Do not forget to account for change if you plan to lower the car.
P.S. IMHO > I don't think you would have any problems with the Extreme Dimension product(s) even with a moderate drop (like the FFRP kit. about 1.5").
P.S. I have never scraped, not even a little bit.
P.S.S. Should I document how to find you exact clearance reqs?

You could start learning to drive in, drive-ways at angles, thou. Then you can go w/ that ''racer'' body kit, or a "3D carbon" kit. Or you could just throw on the SES front & rear bumper covers.

Ever re-read what you posted and wonder where your brain was at?
The OP is asking specifically what the clearance is. Man, I am sorry! I don't know. Why don't you measure what your clearance is now, then ask ED how much there kits subtract from that. That way your 'drop neutral'.
Luck!

It dosn't look like its that much of a change - I have been looking at the same kit and it doesn't look like it can be much more than 2-3" total, and some of that is over the existing body paneling - so you'd probably see no more than I 1" reduction in clearance.
I noticed you said "before I drop 500 on it just to destroy it" prepare yourself for paint or it will be 1000 to order it painted (they don't mention that until you add it to our cart)
