Installing New fog light bulbs, PROBLEM

#1:
2010 se, factory fog light kit came with car. I am trying to install yellow fog bulbs, i bought nokya bulbs, heard they are pretty decent, well, I plugged new bulb in, careful not to touch anything period, i wore my mechanics gloves, I plugged the wire into the new bulb, and I heard a pop, Damn , WHY did it blow a fuse? Now the fog lights do not work.....

#2:
ON TOP OF THAT: I cannot find the passenger compartment fuse box....

manual says: "under the steering wheel, to the left of the brake pedal, remove cover to expose passenger compartment fuse box."

The only cover I see to remove is by the trunk release button, and I could not get this to come off!

I am not a idiot when it comes to these simple things, but this is proving me wrong :(

Please help in any way you can, thanks!

Well, I found the fuse box, But the fog light bulb/indicator fuse does not appear to be blown. I put the original bulb back in, and nothing, headlights work, just not the fog lights nor the orange indicator on the switch.

thanks for the reply, but here is the deal.

How many De De Dees are you allowed in one day? If its just one, I am maxed today.

I just put both new bulbs in, turned the key and turned them on. just like that. I dont know what I was doing. But I am gonna take a nice shower and go to bed, lack of sleep this week is really killing me.

Thanks for those who read it and were going to answer, Its all good. Everything works. Operator Error lol.

I just put it the same fogs a few months ago..maybe 3 months ago, and the passenger side bulb went out last night. I parked the car in front of a gas station and threy both worked, then I turned the car on when I was leaving and only the driver side turned on! 3 months and its already out!

Oh no, are you serious! I hope mine dont, I will be keeping a very close eye on them now. Thanks for the warning! Any suggestions on others if they go out? there were tons on ebay for cheap, just weary of the cheap stuff, even though they said they have a lifetime replacement, just pay shipping warranty.

**AND FYI, on the 2010 at least, the fog lights do not function or power on unless the key is turned to the ON position or the car is running!
