Question Any 08'-11' owners with HID's, I gotta ?

So here I am posting about my HID's yet again... I need a suggestion from anyone who can help. I've been having issues with the hi/lo harness for my 8000k HID's. The first time it broke because the control box on the relay was fried (most likely by water). DDM sent me a new harness and everything worked fine for a couple weeks. Then today my passenger side bulb flicked off on my way home so I took a look at everything and noticed that the plastic cover around the wires had either been melted or rubbed through and some wires were exposed and torn apart right near the passenger side light housing.

So I took the working control box from the new harness and connected it to the old harness, plugged it in, hooked it back up and everything is working again. This time I put electrical tape around the base of the control box so water couldn't get it. But on this harness I noticed that the plastic covering had been broken in the same place as the new harness, so I put some electrical tape around that too. So my question is, what is the harness wire rubbing against so much to keep breaking the plastic cover around the wires, and how can I lay the wire so that it doesn't rub or melt. This time I ran the wire behind the grill and in front of the hood latch so it would stay away from the radiator. Anybody have a better idea? Pics of your set up are welcome! Thanks in advance!

I had a very similar thing happen to my wiring on the pass. side.

Im not sure how your running your wires and the 08-11 is going to be different from mine, but just make sure to keep it away from anything thats going to melt through. (obviously lol)

When I fixed mine I ran it where some stock wiring was, and ziptied it up away from anything that could cause problems.

Been working great ever since.
