Remove this on 2009 Focus

Anyway to remove this chrome piece by the door.

i think it looks good black. if you want it less noticeable you could paint it the same colour as the car.

Well it can be either just held on by adhesive tape which means it will pull right off, or it will have a snap and there will be holes behind it. There's no ryme or reason on which model has which. One member pulled his off to find no holes on one side and holes on the other.

Its kinda one of those bite the bullet and hope for the best things.

Take the wheel well cover off a bit on the rear side of the front wheels to kind of peek inside behind the fender and see what kind you have.
I *think* you can see that part of the fender from there

If it has clips, there'd be holes and if not it might just be adhesive.
I remember that thread with one member with the adhesive side and clip side.
Shenanigans but funny.

really.. Doesnt that kind of show you they are made kind of cheapily if they just throw it together like that.

Personally I think it hides the lines of the car and looks cleaner without it.

I would like to paint my door handles and mirror same color of the car. Anyone ever get Base coat and Clear coat in a can and can use it like spray paint. I think I heard of sites you type in your color code and you can order your color in a spray paint can.

So if they are clips then do I just pry it and it will come off? If its adhesive obviously I just use heat and floss.

I painted my door handles that way. They've been holding up awesome. I got a thread in this section about doing my handles, just advance sreach my screen name for threads I've started in this section.

Yeah if they're clips just pry them off with a plastic tool or your fingers. I'd try the heat n floss and see if they come off. If not then you know you have clips.
