2008 Side badges

I've read the threads on debadging the trunk lid and as soon as it warms up I'm going to do that. I have a 2008 with the side badging on the front fenders. Can that be removed the same way/has anybody does this?

yes and no... the early build models had clips that held them to the fender so there are 3 holes in your fender, then at the end of 08/09 iirc they moved to the adhesive...

there was one guy on here his driver side was the clip in kind and the passenger side was just taped on... you can probably check in your wheel well if you take the lining off...

Mine had clips and STRONG adhesive tape holding them on.

Thanks to all. When it warms up I'll get onto the debadging. My daughter just got engaged for a September wedding so it'll be routine maintenance and free/cheap mods this year!

Well it warmed up real nice so I debadged the trunk lid. It looks awesome! Unfortunately the side badges are the type with the clips and they're pretty big. I remember when trim was held on with little (1/16th inch) pins.

Bad news is in washing and drying the car beforehand I found some real bad scratches on the left rear corner of the roof that weren't there before. I guess it's time for target practice on the neighbor's cat; my daughter keeps missing it with her Mazda 3 when it's in our yard .
