They are straight forward for the rears. The front you actually have to pull the headlights out to replace them

In order to remove the headlight housings you're gonna have to pull off the grill. There's already an awesome how-to on removing the grill that I followed when I put in my HID's here: How to Remove 08 Sedan Grille / Headlight

The owner's guide says you can take out the headlight housings without taking off the grill, but don't waste your time trying to do that, just do yourself a favor and take off the grill. As the how-to says, it's kind of a pain in the @$$ getting the grill off, but once you do all you have to do is unscrew the three bolts and pull the headlight straight up so the little tab under the headlight housing pops out. Changing the bulb is simple from there.

Read the packaging of the Silverstars before you take the time to install them.

In Canada at least, on the back of the packaging, they have bars to show how they compare to different bulbs in different performance areas. (i.e. brightness, etc.)

Notice how few bars are beside the heading bulb life. I give them credit for being honest, but I'll admit that I never took the time to notice it when I bought some for my old car.

You'll definitely pay more for them, and they'll definitely not last as long.

If you have DRLs for the headlights and they're constantly going to be on, do yourself and forget the Silverstars.
DRLs lights the main filament inside the bulb using reduced power on the Focus, instead of reduced power to the highbeam filament like other cars, putting more wear on filament used for your regular headlights, so they'll end up lasting even less.

For reverse lights that aren't used that often, they should be fine though.

Do be careful with the grill tabs. I run silverstars on everything, even with the shorter life. The improvement in visibility is worth it.
