jeep grand cherokee HIDs

Alright well I need some help here. My friend has a 98ish jeep grand cherokee and his stock headlights suck. Well his girlfriend is looking to get him some HIDs but asked me for help. Unfortunately I don't know too much about them. Anyone have any idea what's she should get? Need a whole new housing or just bulbs or what? Thanks alot.

Depending on how much shes looking to spend. You could get new projector housings and hid bulbs or just an hid kit.

Heres the kit. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit

I would normally recommend just buying projectors and then getting the HID bulbs/ballasts, but how much more life does she think a 98 has left in it? If it's relatively low miles for its age, I say spend the $180+ on the projectors and the $30-50 on the HIDs.

Totally worth the visibility at night, especially if you drive in the dark as much as I do.

I would NOT advise putting HID bulbs in a stock housing, as generally they create glare for other drivers.

I'm not sure if the grand cherokee would need the harness or error code eliminator. If you got a 35w kit I'm guessing you wouldn't. Also, those projectors claim to be for 99+, so you'd have to nail down whether or not it's a 98 or something else.

Edit: I just did the same kind of search in google - "grand cherokee projector headlights ebay 98" and a bunch of 93-98 sets came up. They look to be a bit more expensive, however.

Yeah, I would recommend some kind of projector, because Jeeps already blind people with their regular headlights and HIDs won't make that any better, lol.

^^Depends on what You're looking for. For foglights, I prefer, use and recommend 3500K, a nice bright yellow, which actually works in the fog.

Well I sorta want to use my Fog lights as my driving lights and keep my HID headlights on using the halos. I think it would look badass but dont know if it would be possible
