the lower percentage the less light it lest in. so 0% is no light 100% is no tint. 50%, to me, seems like very light tint. In NE the legal limit is 35%, but I like darker so I pay in cash (wink, wink)

is it true that a cop could make you tear off the tint.....my friend says a cop made him take off the tint right there and then because he had it too dark

18% all around here, no complaints. I don't like the look of the front and rear not matching. Even if they are really light, I would rather see all of them light than the front light and the rear dark.

I have heard of cops telling someone to tear it off OR get a ticket.

I went with the 32% on mine all around. Any darker then that and you are asking for a ticket. Here in Ohio we have the same law 50% in the front and as dark as you want in the back. I have some pictures in my gallery if you want to check out my tint.
And as far as a cop making you rip your tint off, that is not true. They will give you a ticket and make you go to traffic court to prove you had the tint removed. And yes you will pay court fees and the fine. Trust me I had dark tint back in the day and I got pulled over for it back in the mid 90's. I had them re tinted to the 50% and you could not tell they had tint on them. So a 50% tint is a waste. With a 32 or a 35 the windows look tinted but a cop can still see inside your ride.

talk with people in your area who have dark tint and see if they get pulled over for it. I have 25% tint on my car but the legal limit is only 35%. Ive been pulled over for playing music too loud but they never questioned my smoked tail lights, tint, or exhaust. If your area is anything like mine, i would go darker and at least 35% all around.
