2008 Steering Wheel

I'm trying to find something to do with the boring, plastic beige wheel in my car. A leather skin looks good, but the wheel spokes are too wide. Looks hokey. I know there's a lot of aftermarket wheels. Anybody know a product line that still accomodates the stock airbag? Anybody know how to get the center console off without getting a face full of airbag? At least if I could do that I might be able to mod something. Thanks up front.

Although I haven't taken apart a 08+ yet I bet a SVT or RS wheel would also work. You you have to switch to the SVT airbag as well. It would be a nice stock looking wheel.

Leather OEM wheel is nice.

I got one from a scrap yard.
Cruise control had to be programmed by the dealer.

I didn't really look into getting the audio buttons to work.

I agree! I have a 08 SES 5 speed and I sure am glad I spent the extra bucks! I got it LOADED with everything Ford offered as extras. Upgraded ambient lighting, heated leather, Audiophile stereo etc. (paid cash the dealer didnt like that!) I had to order the car built at Ford as I couldn't find a SES with the 5 speed stick in any dealer they said no one would want a 5 speed in a SES, My wife has a SES with the auto. and let me tell you the car responds MUCH better with the stick!. The 08 has been a great car so far I have 19,463 miles on it. My only complaint is the P6 tires are junk! I am replacing them this week.
