08 License Plate Bulbs

My manual says C5W L for the bulb type.

I'm looking to replace the original bulbs with LEDs but there's all sorts of mm sizes, from 31 to 42, etc.

I don't want to have to take out the originals once just to measure, and then again to replace them.

Can someone tell me the proper mm size for these bulbs on this year?

Alright, well I figured I'd post back my findings here since nobody else here knew. The bulb length for an 08 license plate bulb is 36mm (festoon type).

36-39mm long seems to fit fine, and try to go no more than 13mm wide.

Don't waste your time or money. I tried LED plate bulbs and they don't last. The start to strobe and then just burn out.

Which ones did you try?

I had that problem with the style that had the two big round "1W" LEDs on each.
