Remove Fender Vents

Anybody know how to remove the fake/plastic chrome fender vents off an 08/09 Focus? I bought an SES Coupe and they look very out-of-place because of the fact that they are the only shiny chrome item on the car besides the taillights, not to mention I'm not a big fan of chrome to begin with. Thanks for any help.

Your right, they are very out of place. B/c if you infact bought a 2009 SES coupe then you shouldn't have chrome fender vents in the first place. LOL....you sure you bought a 09?

09's lack the chrome side vent flair things. If you have them, you bought an '08.

they are removable....... but the part, about halfway where it snaps in, there's a square hole sitting there if you don't patch it up.

To clear up...I do have on 09, however it was made in Nov of 08 before they offered the vent removal, the integrated compass, external temp, and trunk release button. I never gave any thought of painting the chrome body color. That's a pretty good idea. The side turn signal is also a good idea. I will remove them when i get time this weekend and see if i can get some paint from Ford. Thx guyz.

Probably best way to remove them if they have adhesive is use fishing line or dental floss. Good luck. What would be cool is if you make a how-to for this and show some pictures of what it looks like without the vent so people can see the hole/holes
