dont know if you tried it yet... but bulbs are not the wa to go... i got some blue ones from autozone.. within a day, the color was burnt away from them.. took em back and got the gel covers, NEVER do that, they look like crap. if you really want to change the color, run a small neon tube up there, or a couple LEDs. That way you can have the (in my case blue) glow ,and the white lights if you ever need it.

well, thanks for the advice, lol but i already had them in. they actually look pretty tight and match my leds, so hopefully the color wont burn out. so thanks for the warning, just a lil late.

i guess i dont know what you mean by "what power". i have a 4 channel switch that i plugged them into. You can get ones with a built in resistor from autozone for about $10 (3 LED's). i used them for my vents. at target, they had these "mood lights". i cut the cigarette adapter off, had to do some minor rewiring, but im putting them behind the dome lights. let me know if i can help you out.

is the cigarette lighter the only 12 volt power supply available in a focus?

I'd got a varad hyperled Kit and about 10 street glow neon accent kits that i'd like to wire into my new focus, and now that it's warm enough, I want to get it done.

Let me know, k thx

well... yes that is the only power outlet.. all you have to do with your neon is to cut the cigarette adapters off.most all of the neon tubes are just wires attached to the adapter. you then take the power and ground and hook them up. on the other hand, some of the lights have resistors in them, (like some LED's i have) which make it a bit harder to do. for this, you od open up the adapter, whether it be taking out screws or just twisting apart, and pull out the wire and the resistor. then take a piece of shrink tubing and put around the resistor. from there just wire everything to a switch and wire it into the electrical system.

hopefully that helps you out in some way... if you need anything else, let me know.

oh. and by the way.... 10 tubes.... damn, that is going to be one lit up car!
