Question ? About OEM Intermitten Wiper Switch

Hey,
I have a question about the intermitten wiper switch seen here:

http://www.myfordperformance.com/cgi...l/product=3937

the website says that it fits focus's with rear wipers. i own a focus sedan witn no rear wiper. i e-mailed myfordperformance and was told that they were not sure if it would work without a rear wiper, so they put that warning on there.

does anyone know if i can make this work in my sedan. and if not, is there some place i can find a switch that will work in my sedan with the veriable speed intermitten feature?

thanks,

I havent look at one up close and personal, but I would think that it would work. There just wouldn't be any wires for a rear wiper in your part of the wiring harness/connector the new intermittant switch fits into. There was a lot of good info concerning this item/subject on the forum before the switch to the new BBS. I wish we could search the old forums. Oh well.

They have them at https://fordparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html

W/o rear wiper 00-04 $34.09
Steering column - Shroud switches and levers - wiper switch - Variable intermittent

First do a search on wiper in the Search by Keyword field.
Then it will ask for the car year/model/style.
Then Click on the Collision option when you search.
It will/should be the third one on the list.

You could always give them a call too to make sure that they have them in stock.
Call them at 1-800-270-7531

The rear wiper ones usually sell for more on ebay than you can buy them new for. The ones without the rear wiper sell on ebay all the time, the SE has it standard, the LX doesnt. Do a search on ebay, it may take a week or two, but they get posted for sedans all the time.

It's not ebay that you shouldn't trust, it's some of the sellers!
