Best Short Throw Shifter

Looking to buy a STS! I'm looking at the Steeda, the B&M, and the Focus Central race shifter. Let me know what you've installed and how it's worked out for you. They all seem to be the same...but each has it's own advantages...ie FC claims 40% shorter throws and is the strongest on the market. Steeda off sets the pivot for better throws...

any input would be appreciated...

I love my Steeda. Shorter throws without having a really short shifter.

What's a STS? Are you sure it's not a ZTS?

Anyway, what year? If you get one that's 03 or newer the only ones that I know will work is the Focus Central and the Steeda. I don't think that B & M makes a shorty shifter for the 03's and higher.

Steeda = shorter throw and Reverse Lock-out intact.
FC race shifter = shorter throw but no Reverse Lock-out intact.

i have the steeda in my car and it's great, no problems here, the B&M on the other hand, i've heard nothing but bad things about it......there's a guy who lives around here, who had the b&m in his zx3, and he said he was racing and he went to pull it in forth, and it broke.....i'm a little hazy on the details b/c he told me this story a long time ago, also, on another forum, i used to go on, team-ma.com, they had nothing but bad things to say about it...... get steeda!!

Steeda is less also...

If you have a 2000 focus you'll need the earlier model STS as ZX3_Chick stated.

Here is the one you want to look for:
