???????? on the A/C dials

Does anyone know how long the cables are that control the A/C dials? I am looking to relocate the A/C dials to a different spot in the car and need to know how much I have to play with.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

either you'll have to pull them or you could go to a dealership and see if the parts dept. has any for you to look at....

I'm gonna guess that they are just long enough to reach the spot where the controls are - car manufacturers find as many ways as possible to save money, and that means no excess materials. I don't know how many times for example I've wrestled with an electrical wiring harness that had virtually no slack in it because by having only enough wire in the harness to reach the switch, the companies save a few pennies or fractions of a penny on each car. So, good luck with that!

where were you thinking about moving the a/c controls to?

this could be a really cool idea.

I was thinking to move them under the steering wheel.
Or I would drop them straight down and fiberglass it in right above the cup holders.
Because I would like to put some guages in there place.
