Aftermarket Seat Installation Help!

Hello Forum Members,

I need some assistance! I currently own a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4. I was attempting to install my Sparco R100 seats in my vehicle last week. There is a seat occupancy seat sensor on the factory seats that detects whenever there is a driver or passenger sitting down on the seat. The Sparco seat is no compatible from what it looked like underneath the seats. Can anyone please give me some advice on how to correct this issue. Thank you all for your support!

The only way to fix this is to find away to retrofit the sensors to your seats or to find the required resistance for those sensors and make cheaters to plug in. I have an '03 Focus and still have yet to get my airbags working properly.

Even my '03 without seat airbags is still a PITA to get working...

Theoretically you could pull the sensor pads from the factory seats and install them into the aftermarket seats. That is what some have done when swapping the SVT seats or other older seats.

You and me both! I still have the airbag lights on my car as well. Think I may just pull the bulb.

You can actually send a PM to Tundrafoci. He just swapped Recaro Seats into his '05 and had to swap over the pressure plate. All is working good for him.
