Question Interior Upgrade/Change

Hello everybody,

I have seen a lot of pictures where people have painted the interior, dash, glove compartment lid, door handles, I need help with this, I want to paint mine, but I don't know what kind of paint should I get, I just got this ford focus and its great, its really fun to drive, and I just want to make it better, if anyone can help me, please do.

Albert

See This

I used hobby paint, the kind I paint my lexan RC car bodies with. It sticks to plastic very well.

I used Dulpicolor, available at your local AutoZone or similar store. It says for use on Cars/Trucks exterior I think, but it works fine with a good coating of clear over it on the plastic.

remember to clean the hell out of what ever you are painting. I was lazy with that part that holds the radio and the paint didn't stick. So wash them really well.

Painting

First, do a search. There have been tons of how tos and posts about this.

Next, just clean it, scuff or sand the parts, prime or apply adhesive promoter and paint. Follow the directions on the can and you will do fine.

A few keys. Watch out for the weather. Paints will work best within the weather parameters set out by the manufacturer. Too much humidity or too cold a tempo will kill you. Make sure the first coat is thin. A dusting. If you have patience and can do that throughout, your paint will last longer.

You can check my site for pics of my interior. Good luck.
