Gauge Light Problem

Over the past few weeks i have been having a real annoying problem with my Gauge lights on my 00 ZTS at night. Sometimes they dont turn on right away. If i play with the switch for awhile I can get them to light up. After a few seconds they might turn off, or stay on for the whole time. Did anyone else have a problem similar to this? If it requires to buy a new switch anyone have any sites where i can buy a new one?

Kinda frustrating not knowing how fast you are going at night.

It sounds like the switch from what you describe. I have a extra switch assy from when I installed my fog lights. Do you have fog lights? If so my switch assy won't help you. Check ebay or fordparts.com

Have you tried cleaning the switch? The dimmer switch on those is a rotary and as such they are easy to damage. Try useing TV-Tuner Cleaner on it. Works well for any rotary dimmer swtich.

Hope this helps with your problem.

Hint - its a good idea to take out the switch in order to clean it, spraying tunner cleaning into the dash might have some bad results.
