Question Locks prior to 2003

Hey guys I'm going to install door lock actuators in my manual lock FOCUS and I would like to know if it's true.... a lot of people say that the focus is cable-based locks... but what I've heard is that they are only cable-ased beginning from 2003.....

so mine is a 2002, is possible that it could have cable-based or am I safe to say that it s based on rods???

any help would work for me...

P.S. how about a pwer window diagram..... what with all this not being hooked up to the harness.... but instead to the speaker.... etc.... i saw it on a forum by darkonyx or something like that.....

i have a 2000. it is cable driven. All the Foci I have seen and worked on are cable driven, no matter if they are power door locks or manual door locks.

and huh?! power window hooked up to the speaker? explain a LOT better, please.

not sure what that quote is implying: I bought a 2000 ZTS in '03. it had the stock single disk in the dash and the original door speakers. all of them worked. can you link me to that post where that quote was from? The only thing i could make from that quote is that the 'poster' was a metaphor for how FORD 'exceeds your expectations'. ... that is, they don't wish to help you too much. not sure though.

I think the person is whinging that because he doesn't have power locks or windows that the wires are missing from the loom.

Some people don't order certain options then are disappointed when they have a hard time installing it themselves.

Would you complain if you went to McDonalds, order only a burger and then be upset that they didn't give you a cup and straw....?
