I'm thinking that it might be nice to lock stuff in the glove box from time to time. My glove box doesn't lock - does anybody have one that does? If not, how hard would it be to mount a simple lock that would spin behind the steel? It seems pretty sturdy. I mean, if somebody really wanted in they'd have no trouble, I'm just looking to stop the everyday passenger from opening up my glove box if I didn't want them to..
If you can't trust your passenger dude, kick 'em out.
They stopped putting locks on glove boxes because nobody used them and thieves just break them, causing more $ in damage than the value of the contents in it.
To answer your question, no Focus ever came with a locking glovebox (MAYBE the Euro ones, they have a locking gas cap). So you'd have to custom fit one in, not worth it to me, like Sparky mentioned above, but whatever floats your boat.
I would like a locking glove box. For when I have my car valet or when I get it serviced. It would be nice to drop my iPod in there and I would not have to worry about it.
I just always remove everything and leave it at home.
