Mine doesn't have the O/D button on it.... I just disconnected the wire for it as did many of the other people on this forum. There is a really good write up on here from Lil PZEV Clicky Clicky

Check that out

You can also run the disconected wires to a toggele switch and still keep the abaility turn O/D on and off

Also check Nopi there the only place i have seen that has Aftermakert shift Knobs with O/D buttons

The only thing I've found in the way of OD buttons (aside from the toggle option, as mentioned) is this, which I personally find a wee bit revolting in appearance.

I also just found this one which is clean-looking but I have no idea if it would fit/hook up properly... I know the PRND21 knob shown in the first link fits a Focus, since I've seen a Kona with it (he didn't have the button), but not sure on the second knob?

well i like the second one a lot better. is there any way to c if it fits by like trying to put a mustang shifter on the focus shifter and c if it fits and if it does then that would mean the upr one would fit right. my dads got a 2000 mustang atx so it wouldnt be hard to get my hands on the shifter to c if it fits.

I think the diameter would be fine if you just like the knob (testing it with your dad's car might be a good call). I mean we know the black knob fits a Focus, and the Mustang, so it stands to reason the silver knob that fits a Mustang also fits the Focus. The thing I'm iffy about is whether/how the Focus's OD wires would plug into the knob's button...

I don't think you Need it, no. Mine isn't currently hooked up, I never ever put my cars in Drive... once in my Mustang I pulled it into "2" to drag itself up a hill in snow, but that's it.

So basically, if you don't feel like messing with it, I don't think it's the end of the world.

I have recently installed a MOMO Shift Knob on my ATX and I've wired up the O/D button to a toggle switch and clamped it onto the shifter stalk. How it looks doesn't really bother me because I ordered a set of nice leather shift boots to cover up the toggle install. I'm still able to flick the switch whenever I want to utilize the O/D function.

Cheers!
