Anyone installed a leather from katzkin or autoleathers?

I was considering purchasing some leather seats and door panel from autoleathers.com. Has anyone installed these before? i don't feel like paying $100 for their install video if i don't have to. i already have all the tools that comes in the install kit, so I'd be paying $100 for a DVD that could possibly tell me extremely easy instructions.

A poorly done install on any type of upholstery can be one of the worst nightmares you'll run across. I guess go with your gut feeling on how much saving a few dollars (relative to a *****ed up interior) is worth to you. We do a ton of aftermarket leather installs with a local place, and use Katzkin leather, it's great quality, but I'd never suggest someone taking on the job themselves, but that's just my opinion.

Instead of paying $100 why dont you just take it somewhere local and pay their price? Couldn't be too much more.

Well after seeing this page:

http://www.truckinweb.com/brandpages/ford/0312tr_leat/

I'm almost positive that I can do it. I do custom stereo installs, and I do a lot of work with vinyl and carpet. I didn't know if there was more to it then what that link shows, but it looks like you just remove the old and put on the new!

Well if you have the tools, have you done something similar before? Do you have new hogrings, because I've heard you Can squeeze them back into shape, but it's probably easier to have new ones at hand.

I'd say given a bit of knowledge, brains and willing to invest time in it, you can do them yourself. People have definitely done it before, just don't rush anything and make them look like crap.

I am a katzkin dealer, and I'm pretty sure I have that install video around the office somewhere. Maybe I can make a copy of it and send it over to you if you decided to get those. The video makes the install look pretty easy, but as always you have to make sure you have all the right tools before you start.

I bought mine with them already installed hehe! Great seats though. although my driver seat seems to be rubbing a bit off where the colored center is.
