Removing plastic on the door panels?

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic piece that is above the fabric on the door. I wantto paint it, but dont want to break it. Thanks

I think someone asked this a long time ago... I think the consensus was that it doesn't come off and go back on. I think it's like the fabric panel under it. It's stuck on and if you pull it off you have to reglue it or something.

I'm just glad my 03 didn't come with that piece... I don't know when it got phased out but it seems annoying for projects like these.

its not meant to come off. you can take off the door panel and rip it off, but it wont go back on unless you find some way to glue it. if you want to paint it, i would take the whole door panel off and tape the hell out of everything else.
