Do you mean the big black (or silver) HVAC surround piece? Because they didn't make any without an ashtray or drawer (ashtray with felt lining).

You can pull the ashtray piece out (doesn't affect the powerpoint there at all) and maybe remove the HVAC piece and fiberglass it smooth where the tray was, but keep the PP area open?

Yeah, I noticed my car didn't come with any ashtrays OR cigarette lighter, it has the plug but not the attachment knob that heats up, does Ford have something against smokers!?

I don't smoke, but if I did, I would be upset.

Hey you guys without the ashtrays or cigarette lighters got any pics of your HU BEZEL?? I assumed they ALL came with the cigarette lighter outlet and a coin tray (in place of the ashtray) if you didn't get the smoker's package.

Very curious.....

Yeah that's all. It looks like an ashtray but it has felt lining, and the little "smoke" icon isn't on it.

And then just below it is the powerpoint, instead of the knob thingy that pushes in to get red-hot, there's a little cap that says 12V DC on it, which I have long since lost.

All you need is the felt drawer, it'll slide in right where your ashtray is.

If you can't find one used, looks like the dealer's List Price is $20. You can find it on newfordparts.com if you go to Collision/Body Catalog - Instrument panel , Instrument panel ,Utility tray. Their price is $16, but there' $10 shipping so it'd be cheaper to go to a local dealer.

they don't have the coin purse drawer like in the 04's............my bezel is flat right there....except underneath my a/c controls, there is a flat tray area, and its indented....

it holds a can of "altoids" mints there perfectly!!!! if you didn't know that already.....

and then there is a small glovebox on the left under the headlight switches thats made for cd's and whatnot, and then theres cup holders built into the doors now. I think thats new too.
