The dealer can change it. From what i've read, it seems that some dealers are reluctant to do it, but some are not. I've heard it costs upwards of $300 to do it too. Just do what i did...wait till you car has the mileage on your new cluster, 65K, and then switch it out. I don't know about you, but i'd rather use that $300 for some other mods.

I would find a better dealer/service dept.

The $300 is probably for them to swap the cluster also because of odometer fraud. they want to swap the cluster and redo the cluster ecu to match the cars ecu. I think part of it is liability factor. If you find a good dealer they may let you do the labor and charge you for the computer work(reprograming). That is a big might

I'm sure it'll be safe to say that it'll be around that price..especially since we going to a dealer..dealers are always expensive

What really bothers me about this whole thing is that it shouldn't matter, I mean the mileage should be recorded and sent from the cars computer not the cluster. Or allow a way to simply swap the display between the two cluster types. I understand they are located in different locations depending on the cluster but they should be swappable. Man, the desire to have a good old mechanical odometer again.

I thought that they digital odometer was mainly developed to stop odometer rollback on mechanical. But now all you gotta do is swap a cluster. I'm sure there is a way to tell the true mileage, but im also sure it's not something that the average consumer would know...
