Instrument Cluster Incompatibility

Just got my used cluster with Tach and must report my findings.

The connector on the harness is bigger on my 2003 model than previous years.
My Tach-less cluster is marked 2003.5 so maybe this indicates the PZEV version.
The used one is labeled as being from a 2000 ZX3.
I also noticed that I had quite a few more screens in the test mode than noted in the hack to read them. http://www.focushacks.com/index.php?modid=13

I still want the factory tach so I will continue to pursue this until I sort out all the issues.

The PZEV uses a whole different engine management computer, so they are NOT going to be compatible at all.

The problem was that if you check the listings for the cluster, there is no separate part for the pzev. It only states '00 - '03 for years that it fits.
'03 pzev owners will probably need to use parts for the '04 in many cases.
