Question Custom Gauge Cluster

Hey everyone! I've been really looking into getting rid of the black and green gauges on my 01 ZX3 and putting something nice and bright in there. I know that there are many face plates and LED kits but is there anything that replaces all of the gauges to give them a whole new look?

Maybe something like this?

or this?

I know the second one is from a Porsche but it looks nice. I'm not looking for these exactly but something to totally change that stock look.

Thank you!

TBH, it's probably more work than it's worth. All you'll really get is a different look and no more functionality. So though spending a weekend making something work will make it different, you won't really gain anything in the end.

But if you do with a different thought about a gauge cluster you can get more options and functionality. Read up on the Dash Daq; or there are other variations built on similar Linux code and able to run on a tablet style device.

If I were to do another gauge swap, which I will at some point. I'd go the tablet route. I can toggle through a bunch of different options to display virtually any 'gauge' I desire. If I want an instantaneous MPG gauge, I can have one. If I want MAF Flow gauge, I can put one of those up too. The limitation is only the data available to the ECU.
Yes it costs more and might be a bit tougher to configure and understand. But once you do, it's far more useful. And there's the benefit of being able to change schemes at will.
