Mk2 Gauge Cluster

Any one ever attempted, or even possibly succeeded, in putting a mk2 gauge cluster in a mk1 or 1.5? I don't even know if the hookups on the back are the same or not, and it doesn't look like it would even fit, but my curiosity did get the best of me.

I have the same question. I want to get rid of the stock look and put something 'sportier' if you will.

There might be a possibility for a duratec swap, we do know the MkI duratec & zetec clusters have different plugs.

Ok, I am bumping this. I too would like to know. I went to the boneyard today and saw how much I like these in person. In my case, I have an 05 Zx4, so yes I have a Duratec.

well the quick easy thing to do is if you are at the boneyard is grab one, walk over to a m1.5 and see what the differences are.

is the plug the same?
mounting?
how the fit and finish of the bezel.

solve a few problems right there.

Ooh curious. Yes take it apart, try to plug it in, if it doesn't work you are only out time and don't have to buy anything!!
