Will the mk2 (coupe/4dr) seats fit in an mk1?

Looking for new seats without much modification. I don't have airbags and just looking for a quick swap. Does the mk2 seats drop right in on an mk1? Primarily the fronts. Thank you

They can work but it won't be a 100% direct swap. Wiring is not the same I believe the mounting brackets are very close.

00-01 Focus didn't have the "Personal Safety System" so there isn't any wiring in the seats.

They should bolt in just fine but I can't imagine they'll look or fit right. They're very uncomfortable.

I didnt know that about the 00-01...so nothing there at all? Not even anything for the seat belt? (which was the easiest thing for me to swap over)

Second gen seats are nothing to write home to. Being 130lbs and 5'11' I slide side to side in them. Lateral support is poor, some say lumbar support is bad, although I have no issues with lumbar support.

Hmm, idk about the buckle sensor wiring. My Mustang seats didn't have any wiring and it didn't have the personal safety system on it so I assume the same for any Ford built prior to the personal safety system. (Barring a power seat, of course)
