Changing window switch light color?

I know that there are a lot of threads about this but I haven't been able to find quite what I'm looking for...

Is there a how to about changing the LEDs in the window switches?
I've seen the tutorials about adding light to the door locks but nothing about what kind of LEDs for the window controls and how to change them...

If anyone has this information handy it would be great!

Thanks!

pop out your switches, carefully pull your switch in question apart (ther are little push tabs) flip it upside down wihle doing this to keep the metal conatcts in place. once apart find the LEDs... which is easy. cut them out and solder new ones in place making sure they are in the same circuit direction (posi is posi and neg is neg) put back together...

there is one each button, and as far as the leds in the dash what sort of MCD rating was thier.. the ones i use will surely be bright enough.. they are 15000mcd (that is how it measures the brightness.. all i know is the higher the number the better.. and at 3mm 15000mcd is the brightest

Dash light bulbs were 501 led i tried on and it just wouldnt show any blue at all.
Should i change the dials to white then change the bulbs?

what about the moonroof switch near the domelight? does that need to be rewired for it to light as well? If so I'm assuming the same 3mm leds will work...
