How to save money on LED products

Case in point #1:

Case in point #2:

Case in point #3:

Now that you see how high these things go for, you may want to consider finding some better prices.

OPTION 1
One way would be to buy the LEDs from a "wholesale-er." Most have a minimum purchase amount, so you would end up with a lot of LEDs, but you would be saving some mulah.
Heres a good example:
http://www.modsthatglow.com/red.htm
A 10 pack for 5 bucks. Of course, you would also need resistors, a soldering iron, and some patience.
Thats the extreme DIY way, and this would not be practical for say, an underbody kit.

OPTION 2
Buy from a wholesale resale-er. A good example:
http://allelectronics.com/
This company purchases any inventory from other companies that they have not sold, and they do so at VERY low prices.
This site also sells LEDs alone for much more reasonable prices.
But more importantly, they have pre-wired LEDs, meaning no soldering is needed.
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a...-BLUE/-/1.html
This would replace the door handle kit previoulsy posted, and you would save 26 dollars by doing so.

OPTION 3
Just shop around. I got my underbody kit for a very good price, because I looked for something less then 100$. Not only am I very happy with my product, but the site I ordered from shipped it in 2 days. Amazing.
Anyhow, heres 2 comparison examples:
http://www.americanwebmall.com/ptr-ltgledul11.html
http://racinx.com/RACINX/NEONS/rxled.htm

Be a good consumer. Be a smart consumer. A single LED costs next to nothing to manufacture. So 50$ for 16 LEDs is rediculous.

Legal Notes:
I do not endorse any links used. I garauntee nothing, and expect nothing from any of the listed sites. I don't reccomend buying from them, and honestly, you should search these things on your own. Every link used was PURELY as an example. If you'd like a link removed, just PM me. Anyo questions should be posted here, and in the event that this thread is closed, questions may be sent through PMs. Thank you and goodnight.

Great!

Yeah it's always better to buy LEDs in bulk since they are becoming so cheap now a days. Bye Bye incandescent lighting!

I bought a 20 pack of orange LEDs off ebay years ago and those came with 12v resistors and it only cost me like $8 shipped if I remember correctly. I can only imagine how far down in price they've come.

Not trying to one up you, but I bought 100 blue LEDs with resistors from a Hong Kong wholesaler on ebay last fall for like $8 or $9 shipped.
The LEDs are bright too.

I don't think we can post ebay links.
Do a search on ebay for 100 blue LEDs
First couple items are 3 and 5mm sets.
